DOEM began as a memory before it became a brand. I grew up in Lahore, in a home where craft was part of everyday life.
My Dada Jaan had artisans working inside our house. I remember the rhythm of Khaddi, the smell of fresh dye, and the way prints slowly appeared on fabric; one careful press at a time.
The artisans felt like family.
There were shared cups of tea, quiet conversations, and afternoons spent in the same courtyard.
Those moments stayed with me.
With DOEM, I aim to carry that feeling forward, to give craft, a second chance.
Every piece begins with a hand-drawn sketch, inspired by the streets and everyday life. Each design is slowly translated onto fabric using a range of techniques. The final layer is done by hand. Subtle stitching and finishes are added by skilled artisans, bringing depth and individuality to every piece.
Our designs begin as original artwork — sketched, observed, and developed in our studio. Each design is transferred onto fabric using traditional screen printing methods, where layers of ink are applied by hand. No two prints are exactly the same. Each carries slight variations, not imperfections, making every piece feel more special and human.
Behind every hand-embroidered piece are women artisans. Their work is slow, detailed, and intentional. Each stitch carries time, care, and quiet strength. They don’t just finish the garment; they give it life.
